Is Higgsfield AI free?
Partly. Higgsfield has a free tier with a small set of models and no credits, and there is no trial period (Higgsfield help center, fetched 2026-10-21). The pricing page labels the Free column “Limited use” and shows no free gens on Starter, the cheapest paid plan (higgsfield.ai pricing, crawled 2026-10-20). Those are the free tier limits the vendor states.
What we did not test: our test account is a paid Plus plan. We have not used the free tier from a fresh free account. Everything below about its contents comes from vendor pages and user reports, and we mark it “not tested” (2026-10-21).
For one still image, a free route outside Higgsfield may be enough; repeated video runs cost credits, which the free tier does not include. The cheapest paid step is Starter at $19/month billed annually, excluding taxes, with 270 credits a month (higgsfield.ai pricing, crawled 2026-10-20). Every other plan and price is in the Higgsfield plan table.
Claim-by-claim check
The table separates what the vendor states from what search summaries and users claim. “Verified (vendor)” means a Higgsfield page we fetched says it. It does not mean we tested it.
Claim | Where it appears | Status as of 2026-10-21 |
|---|---|---|
"There's no trial period" | Higgsfield help center, "How do Higgsfield plans work?" (fetched 2026-10-21) | Verified (vendor) |
Free tier = a small set of models, no credits | Same help-center page; pricing page Free column "Limited use" (crawled 2026-10-20) | Verified (vendor); not tested |
"10 initial credits" on a free account | Google AI Overview for "higgsfield ai free" (Google US, 2026-10-20) | Not verified as of 2026-10-21; conflicts with the no-credits free tier |
A one-time credit "such as $15" for business-email API sign-ups | Same AI Overview, citing a YouTube video | Not verified as of 2026-10-21; the AI Overview ties it to the API, not the free tier |
"Higgsfield For Good" free access for non-profits, students and professors | Same AI Overview, citing higgsfield.ai/higgsfield-for-good | Not verified as of 2026-10-21; we did not fetch that page |
24-hour free unlimited promo; the AI Overview adds a card authorization | Same AI Overview; r/HiggsfieldAI thread, 2026-07-22 | Not verified as of 2026-10-21; a promo, not a trial |
One-time free video creation at 480p | r/AI_Agents comments, 2026-09-28 and 2026-09-29; disputed in the same thread on 2026-09-28 | Not tested |
5 free image face swaps per day | Higgsfield face swap page (crawled 2026-10-20) | Vendor claim; not tested |
Daily free credits were removed | r/HiggsfieldAI thread, 2025-11-08 | Not verified as of 2026-10-21; the help center does not mention daily credits |
Checked 2026-10-21 by editorial review.
Two of the nine claims are confirmed on a vendor page. Six rest on the AI Overview or on user posts alone. The face swap promise is the vendor’s own, and we have not tested it.
Does Higgsfield have a free trial?
No. The Higgsfield help center states “There’s no trial period” (fetched 2026-10-21) and points to the free tier as the way to explore first. Our Higgsfield overview covers what the platform does.
The confusion has a source. The help center says some Exclusive Offers include temporary Unlimited access for a fixed period (fetched 2026-10-21). Users have reported one such offer. An r/HiggsfieldAI post on 2026-07-22 is titled “Higgsfield dropped 1-day free unlimited for new users for videos and images” (thread).
Users in that thread disagree about the offer. One commenter wrote on 2026-07-22 that after signing up “turns out it wasn’t free”, and that the site offered a 63% discount instead. Another wrote on 2026-07-23: “i got 10 free credits from the 1 day trial.” Both are user claims we cannot check.
We did not see that free unlimited promo. We do not know whether it runs for accounts created after 2026-10-21. The help center describes time-limited Unlimited inside offers, and it does not call any of them a free trial.
If a trial or promotion is ever offered, the Terms of Use say it converts to a paid subscription at the standard price unless you cancel first (section 10.7, fetched 2026-10-21). The help center and the Terms describe different cancel routes; both are in our cancel and refund steps. A refund covers only the first purchase, within 7 days, with no credits used, minus a service fee of up to 6% (Terms of Use 9.3, fetched 2026-10-21).
How many free credits do you get? None on the free tier
The free tier includes no credits (help center, fetched 2026-10-21). No Higgsfield page we fetched mentions a sign-up bonus, so we publish no number. The “10 initial credits” in Google’s AI Overview (2026-10-20) is not verified as of 2026-10-21.
Two things on Higgsfield do get called “free”, and neither belongs to the free tier. Free generations are a one-time pool on specific models, such as Soul 2.0. The help center says the pool comes with the purchase of a plan that includes it and does not renew at renewal (fetched 2026-10-21). Promo credits come from promo codes or compensation, and they expire on the date shown when issued.
Free generations and Unlimited work only on the higgsfield.ai website. Through MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer, every generation deducts credits (pricing page, crawled 2026-10-20; help center, fetched 2026-10-21).
Our own record fits that rule. The 2026-10-21 test session ran through Higgsfield’s MCP route, and every run was charged. The review of that session totals its charges. Soul 2.0 cost 0.12 credits per image and Nano Banana Pro 2 credits per 1k image (our charge, test log 2026-10-21). Those are paid prices on a Plus account. They do not show what the free tier makes: not tested.
Two more questions stay open. The help center lists an article titled “Why is there a watermark, and how do I remove it?”, which we did not fetch. Whether free-tier output carries a watermark is not verified as of 2026-10-21. We have not opened the iPhone or Android app, so whether the mobile app free tier matches the web one is not tested.
Daily free credits: users reported them gone in 2025
On 2025-11-08 a user opened the r/HiggsfieldAI thread “No More free daily credits?”, which drew 51 comments (thread). Replies the same day split. “Yes it is gone ;(” wrote one user; another asked whether it could be a temporary error.
Those are user reports from 2025. The help center we fetched on 2026-10-21 does not mention daily free credits. We cannot confirm either way for a new account. Of the Higgsfield pages we crawled, one names daily free generations: the face swap page below.
Are free face swaps limited per day?
Yes, by the vendor’s own page: 5 free image face swaps per day, with video swaps on paid plans (higgsfield.ai/apps/face-swap, crawled 2026-10-20). Its FAQ reads: “You get 5 free image face swaps per day to test the core technology. Video face swaps are available on paid plans.” That page is our only source.
We planned a swap test for this page and did not run it. Face swap was not exposed through the API and MCP route we used on 2026-10-21 (test log). We have no swap to show and no charge to report. Whether the five daily swaps appear on a free account is not tested. We also have no output to judge for quality or a watermark.
Even free swaps follow our content policy: your own photo only. We publish no steps for swapping other people’s faces.
The one-time free video at 480p: a user claim, not tested
Some users say a Genjutsu template offers a one-time free video at 480p, and another says nothing is free. All of these posts sit in one r/AI_Agents thread about how the hotel lobby videos are made (thread).
On 2026-09-28 one commenter advised to “use the free one time option”. The same day another user wrote: “There is no free option lol it’s a scam. ... You gotta pay before doing anything 'free'.” On 2026-09-29 the first commenter added: “change the resolution to 480 then you will see the option to try a one time creation.” We cannot check either account.
Our own check stopped earlier. On 2026-10-21 we considered a Genjutsu preset, Chandelier Lounge Performance; which social trend it reproduces is not verified as of 2026-10-21. We did not run it because its driving video shows real people, and our content policy rules out output that carries their likenesses (test log, 2026-10-21). Our log has no entry for a resolution switch, a 480p offer or a card prompt: we did not check them. A free account may also behave differently from our Plus plan.
If you try the 480p route, read the cost on the Generate button before you confirm. The help center says the exact credit cost is shown there (fetched 2026-10-21). A credit price on that button means the run is paid. The Genjutsu presets are listed in the Higgsfield templates catalog.
What does “unlimited” mean, and is it free?
No. Unlimited is paid access to named models for a set period, and it stops working if your subscription ends (help center, fetched 2026-10-21). It runs in the standard queue. Outside the higgsfield.ai website, credits are always deducted.
The pricing page advertises “Unlimited Kling 3.0 & Nano Banana 2 for 7 days” on the Plus card (crawled 2026-10-20). Two YouTube titles in the same Google results promise “FREE & UNLIMITED” (Google US, 2026-10-20). We did not watch them, and no Higgsfield page we fetched describes a free unlimited tier.
A user warned on 2026-02-06 that the unlimited Kling offer “is just for a few days” (comment). Read the end date before you buy. What unlimited covers on each plan is on our pricing page.
Free options when Higgsfield credits run out
If you need output without paying, the free routes sit outside Higgsfield. None of them is a Higgsfield feature. We have not run these tools for this page, so the table restates each vendor’s own position, dated.
Route | Good for | Free allowance, in the vendor's words | Status as of 2026-10-21 |
|---|---|---|---|
Image trends, photo edits | Free app; image limits not on file | Not verified; not tested | |
Image trends, edits from a prompt | Free plan; image limits not on file | Not verified; not tested | |
Image and video templates | "free daily credits for generating images and videos" (home page, crawled 2026-10-20) | Number not verified; not tested | |
Video | "Monthly Free Credits for Non-Subscribers" (membership FAQ, crawled 2026-10-21) | Number not stated officially; not tested | |
Video on your own GPU | Open-source code, no usage fees | Hardware needs not verified; not tested |
Checked 2026-10-21 by editorial review.
Only Dreamina and Kling state a free allowance in writing, and neither gives a number we could verify. The two open-source models cost hardware and setup time instead of credits.
Kling’s own pages disagree on the amount. The $0 Basic column on the plan page shows “-” for monthly credits, while the FAQ lists monthly free credits for non-subscribers (kling.ai, crawled 2026-10-21). We name no figure. Our Higgsfield vs Kling cost comparison leaves that amount open too. A Dreamina page claims a Higgsfield account “receives 12 credits once and for all” (dreamina.capcut.com, crawled 2026-10-20). That is a competitor’s claim about a rival, not verified as of 2026-10-21.
Choose by job. A photo trend that needs one still image can go to a general assistant. A Higgsfield video preset, such as a Genjutsu template, is Higgsfield’s own, and the free routes above do not offer it. The Higgsfield alternatives guide compares them by task.
When free is enough, and when paying makes sense
Free is enough to check whether a template exists or to make one still image on another tool. Paying makes sense when you need many runs of one model, or a Higgsfield preset the free routes lack.
Check three criteria before you pay:
- Output type. Still images have free routes elsewhere. A Higgsfield video preset does not.
- Volume. The Starter card claims about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos a month (pricing page, crawled 2026-10-20). Count your monthly clips against that before you pick a plan.
- Refund window. Only the first purchase qualifies, within 7 days and with no credits used (Terms of Use 9.3). Spending a credit closes it.

Frequently asked questions
Does Higgsfield have a free trial?
No. The help center says “There’s no trial period” (fetched 2026-10-21). It offers a free tier with a small set of models and no credits instead. Users reported a 1-day free unlimited promo in July 2026 (r/HiggsfieldAI, 2026-07-22), and a promo is not a standing trial.
How to use Higgsfield AI completely free?
The free tier costs nothing. It covers a small set of models and includes no credits (help center, fetched 2026-10-21). Anything that deducts credits needs a paid plan. For fully free output, use a tool from the free-routes table or run Wan 2.1 or LTX-Video locally.
How can I get free credits on Higgsfield AI?
We found no verified way as of 2026-10-21. Users reported on 2025-11-08 that daily free credits were gone (r/HiggsfieldAI). Per the help center, promo credits come only from promo codes or compensation.
Is Higgsfield AI free today?
Partly, as checked on 2026-10-21. The free tier exists and is limited; creating with credits is paid. We tested from a paid Plus account, so we have not seen the free tier ourselves.
Is there a free promo code for Higgsfield AI?
We publish none, and we found no verified code as of 2026-10-21. Distrust any code shown without a source and a date. Current discounts, if any, are in ways to pay less on Higgsfield.
Does higgsfield.ai have unlimited credits?
No. Credits are limited by plan. Unlimited is separate paid access to named models in the standard queue, and it ends with the subscription (help center, fetched 2026-10-21).
