Privacy policy

Copy the Trend privacy policy: no accounts, analytics or ad cookies; Saved looks stay in your browser; /go/ redirects store nothing. Updated 2026-10-26.

Last updated 2026-10-26. This policy describes what Copy the Trend, the publisher of this website, does with data today. It will change before any upload or generation feature launches, and the new version will carry a new date.

Questions: info@copythetrend.com.

What we collect

The site has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no file uploads. We do not ask for your name, your photos or payment details. We handle two kinds of data: the technical data your browser sends when it loads a page, and anything you choose to email us.

We use technical data only to deliver and protect the site. We use your email only to answer it. Under GDPR, our legal basis for both is our legitimate interest in running the site and replying to you.

Our host, Cloudflare, and our email provider process this data for us. They may process it in the United States and other countries. We give your data to no one else unless the law requires it.

Cookies, analytics and logs

The site uses no analytics and no advertising. It loads no analytics, ad or tracking script, and our pages set no cookies (checked 2026-10-26). Fonts and images come from this site, not from a third-party server.

Cloudflare receives each request to deliver the page and to filter attacks. It sees your IP address and basic request data under its own privacy policy. We have not switched on request logging for the site, so we keep no record of your visits.

If we add analytics, ads or request logging, this page will name the provider and any cookie before it goes live. Visitors in the EEA and UK will see a consent banner before any cookie that needs consent is set.

We do not track you across other websites. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser therefore changes nothing here: there is no sale or sharing of data to switch off. If that changes, this page will say how we honor those signals.

Saved looks stay on your device

The Save button keeps a list of the recipes you saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. The list is never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes it. The Copy button puts a prompt on your clipboard; nothing is sent to us when you copy.

Some outbound links go through our own /go/ addresses. We may earn a commission if you subscribe through them (see the affiliate disclosure). A /go/ redirect sends you on to the vendor and stores nothing: no click count, no log, no cookie. If we add click counting, it will record at most which /go/ link was used and the page you came from, and this page will say so first.

We add nothing that identifies you, because we hold nothing that does. Your browser may still tell the vendor which of our pages sent you, through the standard referrer header. After the redirect, the vendor’s own privacy policy and cookies apply. That includes any cookie its partner program sets to credit us with your signup. Read the vendor’s policy before you sign up or upload anything.

Email

If you write to info@copythetrend.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and, for a correction, to log the fix without naming you. No newsletter or alert signup exists. If we add one, we will collect only the email address you type in, name the tool here and put an unsubscribe link in every message.

Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, US state laws)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. You can also restrict or object to its use. You can complain to your data protection authority. Residents of some US states, including California, can ask what personal information we hold and ask us to correct or delete it. They can also opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Because we hold little data, many requests will end with “we hold nothing that identifies you”. We will tell you that plainly. We will not charge a fee or ask for more identification than we need to find your message.

Retention and deletion

Emails you send us stay in the mailbox until the matter is closed. Then we delete them, unless a correction entry needs the correspondence as a record. We keep no visit logs, and the /go/ redirect keeps nothing. If you ask us to delete your emails earlier, we do so within the limits of any legal duty to keep them.

Children

The site is written for adults and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Privacy requests

Email info@copythetrend.com with “Privacy request” in the subject and name the right you are using. We reply to confirm we received it. Where your local law sets a deadline for the answer, that deadline applies. See also the contact page and our terms.

Changes to this policy

We change this policy when our practice changes, and the date at the top changes with it. Before any upload or generation feature launches, we will publish a new version. That feature would collect new kinds of data, such as images of people. Do not upload anything to a future feature until you have read the new version.
