Best for: people who want to run Seedance 2.0 image to video and need to know which route is official and what one clip really costs. Our measured route is Higgsfield: 22.5 credits for one 5 s, 720p clip, about $0.88 on the Plus plan (our calculation).
Free access: no verified free route. Higgsfield's Free plan marks Seedance 2.0 "Not included" (pricing page, checked 2026-10-20). Free terms on ByteDance's own routes (Dola, BytePlus Playground) and Dreamina's US price: not verified as of 2026-10-26.
Our testing status: one Seedance 2.0 clip, 720p, 5 s, no sound, made 2026-10-26 on Higgsfield from a fixed start frame. It followed most of the prompt. Defects: a ring that is not in the reference and legs cropped at the knees by the end; the hand also went to the forehead instead of tucking a curl behind the ear. We have not tested Seedance on any other route.

Is Seedance 2.0 free? Where, and on what terms (checked 2026-10-26)
Seedance 2.0 is not free on Higgsfield: the pricing page marks both Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast “Not included” on the Free plan, and Starter gets 2.0 Fast only (Higgsfield pricing page, checked 2026-10-20). Plus and Ultra get both. No other route has a limit we can state today.
Three other routes may have free credits for Seedance 2.0, and we cannot confirm any of them:
- Dola and BytePlus Playground. ByteDance Seed’s Seedance 2.0 page links to both. The page states no price, credit amount or free limit (checked 2026-10-26). Not verified.
- Dreamina. Its Seedance 1.0 resource page says “You can use Seedance 1.0 for free on Dreamina” and mentions free daily credits, with no amount (checked 2026-10-20). That sentence is about version 1.0. We found no free-credit statement for 2.0.
- Third-party “free Seedance” sites. See the next section; we tested none.
What this means in practice: for “seedance 2.0 free”, no route has a verified free allowance, and we cannot promise a free clip on any of them. Paying makes sense only if you need Seedance 2.0 itself on a route with a known price: on Higgsfield that means Plus or Ultra, at 22.5 credits per 5 s, 720p try (our charge, 2026-10-26). If a site promises unlimited free 2.0, treat it as unverified until you find which company runs the model.
Where to use Seedance: official routes vs look-alike sites
ByteDance Seed, the model’s maker, points to three routes on its own Seedance 2.0 page: “Try Dola” (dola.com), “Try in Playground” (ai.byteplus.com) and “Get API” (seed.bytedance.com/en/seedance2_0, checked 2026-10-26). The page does not mention Dreamina or CapCut, and gives no release date or list of regions. Its menu also lists Seedance 2.5, with no details.
Dreamina makes a separate claim on its own Seedance page: “the official website for accessing Seedance 2.0”, plus “Seedance 2.0 is now live globally” (dreamina.capcut.com/tools/seedance-2-0, checked 2026-10-26). That page does not mention ByteDance. It is Dreamina’s statement about itself, not a confirmation from ByteDance Seed. We treat Dreamina as a real route and “official” as Dreamina’s wording.
This is the seedance-access table, status as of 2026-10-26:
Route | What the vendor page says | Cost per 5 s 720p clip | Our status |
|---|---|---|---|
Dola (dola.com) | Linked from ByteDance Seed's page | not verified | not tested |
BytePlus Playground and API (ai.byteplus.com) | Linked from ByteDance Seed's page as "Try in Playground" and "Get API" | not verified, API price not checked | not tested |
Dreamina / CapCut | "Official website for accessing Seedance 2.0" (its own claim) | not verified for the US; page served euros | not tested |
Higgsfield | Sells Seedance 2.0 inside its credit system | 22.5 credits charged | tested once, 2026-10-26 |
Third-party "Seedance 2.0" sites | no ByteDance relationship stated in the snapshot | not applicable | not tested, not linked |
Of the five routes, Higgsfield is the one with a measured price; every other cell stays not verified as of 2026-10-26.
Look-alike sites (wrapper sites that resell or imitate the model) dominate the search results, including for “seedance 2.0 free”. In our Google US snapshot of 2026-10-21 for “seedance 2.0”, the top 10 holds third-party pages such as eachlabs.ai, seedance20.net and seedvideo.net, and none of the top 10 is a ByteDance, Dreamina or CapCut URL. A domain with “seedance” in it says nothing about who runs the model behind it. We do not link such sites as access, and we ran none of them.
Seedance on Dreamina and CapCut
Dreamina offers Seedance 2.0 on its own site, and its US price is not verified as of 2026-10-26. The tools page we checked that day showed prices in euros, and the pricing page footer showed region NL. Dreamina’s Seedance price page says “Plans, pricing, credits, and benefits may vary by region” and “The checkout page shows the latest offer available to your account” (Seedance price page, checked 2026-10-26). Compare at your own checkout: monthly price divided by plan credits, times the credits the panel quotes for your clip.
One Dreamina inconsistency is worth knowing: the same Seedance 2.0 page says Seedance 2.5 is “coming soon” and also shows a “Try Seedance 2.5” button (checked 2026-10-26). We did not resolve which is current. This page covers Dreamina only as a Seedance route: we have not reviewed its other plans, and we ran no Dreamina clip. For the Higgsfield-versus-Dreamina cost comparison, see Seedance on Higgsfield.
Is Seedance available in the US?
USA availability is not verified as of 2026-10-26. Neither official page we read states US availability. ByteDance Seed’s page gives no list of regions. Dreamina says “live globally” and does not name the US or any other country (both pages checked 2026-10-26).
One fact is partial evidence and no more. Our Higgsfield account ran Seedance 2.0 on 2026-10-26, so the model is reachable through that platform. We did not record the account’s country, so it says nothing about Dola, BytePlus or Dreamina for US users, and it does not say whether Dreamina’s checkout accepts a US account. Check the sign-up and checkout of the specific route, from your own location, before paying.
What one Seedance clip cost us
One Seedance 2.0 clip cost 22.5 credits: 720p, 5 seconds, 9:16, no sound, standard mode, image to video from a fixed start frame, one try, about 4 minutes from submit to finished file (Higgsfield, 2026-10-26). The quote before the run was 22.5, and the charge matched. The pricing page of 2026-10-20 lists the same row as “about 22”. Our account was on Plus, which gives access to 2.0; the picker offered standard mode only.
The start frame was a full-body still of our fictional, AI-generated test character, made with Nano Banana Pro through Higgsfield for 2 credits on 1 try (the job record lists nano_banana_2; we draw no conclusion from the label). It is an input and not shown on the page. The prompt asked for: smile, two relaxed steps toward the camera, stop, a small wave with the right hand, a curl tucked behind the ear, static camera, plain beige studio backdrop. We turned sound off, and the file has no audio stream. Full settings and method: how we test.
What came out (AI-generated test video, 720x1280, 24 fps, 5.04 s):
- Followed: she smiles, takes two steps toward the camera, waves with her right hand and raises a hand to her hair. No watermark was visible.
- Defect 1, an added ring. A ring appears on her right hand that is not in the reference image.
- Defect 2, cropping. The camera is static, so as she walks toward it she leaves the full-body frame; her legs are cropped at the knees by the end of the clip.
- Defect 3, the wrong gesture. The hand goes to the hairline and forehead, not a curl tucked behind the ear.
We kept the single clip and did not rerun it. A second try costs another 22.5 credits, so a clip that needs one retry costs 45. A retry does not guarantee the ring goes away. The list price is per try, not per usable clip. We ran the same start frame and prompt on Hailuo 2.3 on 2026-10-27 for 6 credits; that clip and its defects are on our Hailuo 2.3 test page.
The cost per second of Seedance 2.0 on each route, derived from the 22.5-credit charge and the Higgsfield pricing page (checked 2026-10-20; annual billing, excluding taxes):
Route and plan | Per 5 s clip | Per second | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
Higgsfield, our run | 22.5 credits | 4.5 credits | own test (5 s nominal; the file runs 5.04 s) |
Higgsfield Plus, $47 for 1,200 credits | $0.88 | $0.18 | calculation: 22.5 x $47 / 1,200 |
Dreamina | not verified | not verified | US price not found 2026-10-26 |
BytePlus API, Dola | not verified | not verified | not checked |
The Plus figure is list-price arithmetic: it assumes you spend credits at the plan’s average price per credit, billed annually, before taxes. Promotions and top-ups change the real price per credit, and we tested neither. Dollar figures for Higgsfield’s other plans live in the Higgsfield Seedance cost table.
Seedance versions: 1.5 Pro, 2.0, 2.0 Fast, 2.5
Version names differ by platform, and we made a clip for 2.0 only. Higgsfield’s pricing page lists 2.0, 2.0 Fast, 2.0 Mini, 2.5 and 1.5, plus separate rows named Seedance Pro and Seedance Pro Fast (checked 2026-10-20). Dreamina’s pages name 2.0 and 2.5. ByteDance Seed’s page lists 2.0 and puts 2.5 in the menu without details (checked 2026-10-26).
What we know at the model level, from vendor pages only:
- Seedance 2.0. The version in our test. Higgsfield charges about 22 credits per 5 s at 720p on its page, and we were charged 22.5.
- Seedance 2.0 Fast. A separate Higgsfield row at about 12 credits for 5 s at 720p, available on Starter and up. We did not run it, so we state no quality difference.
- Seedance 1.5. A Higgsfield row at about 3 credits for 5 s at 720p. Whether “1.5” on Higgsfield, “1.5 Pro” in other listings and the separate “Seedance Pro” row are the same model: not verified.
- Seedance 2.5. Higgsfield shows it only as a business-plan unlimited offer, with no individual-plan credit row. Dreamina contradicts itself on whether it is live (above). We ran no 2.5 clip.
We made no side-by-side clip of two versions from the same input, so this page ranks no version on quality. For credit rows by plan and resolution, use the Higgsfield version map.
To check which model version a Higgsfield job reports, see the version check on the Higgsfield Seedance page.
Unlimited Seedance offers: what they cover
On Higgsfield, the one unlimited Seedance offer on the pricing page is a business-plan promotion, “Unlimited Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.0 on Scale & Team plans” (checked 2026-10-20; no end date stated). Individual plans show no unlimited Seedance there. Unlimited applies per model, for a stated period, on one platform only. Conditions and windows are in Higgsfield’s unlimited rules. A third-party site advertising “unlimited Seedance 2.0” has stated no such terms in anything we read.
Seedance vs Kling
We cannot rank Seedance 2.0 against Kling on quality: we ran no same-input test. What we have is a price point on one platform. On Higgsfield on the same day, a Kling 3.0 image-to-video clip of 5 s, standard mode, sound off, cost 7.5 credits; our Seedance 2.0 clip cost 22.5, which is 3.0 times as much (22.5 / 7.5). The two clips used different prompts and different start frames, and the Kling output was 716x1284 against Seedance’s 720x1280. Read it as a cost signal only, not a quality verdict.
Kling is a separate model with its own direct plans and credit rules, covered on our Kling page. If your priority is one platform with both models under one credit balance, Higgsfield carries both; if you want direct vendor terms, Seedance’s own routes are in the access table.
