Yes: Higgsfield Nano Banana, Higgsfield’s entry for Google’s Gemini image model, ran for us on a paid Plus account on 2026-10-26. We ran one prompt and one reference photo three times: Nano Banana Pro at 1k (2 credits, 896 × 1200 px), Nano Banana 2 at 1k (1.5 credits, 896 × 1200 px) and Nano Banana Pro at 4k (4 credits, 3584 × 4800 px, a 33 MB PNG). One try each, 7.5 credits in total, and by eye character consistency held in all three. The job records name other models than we requested. This page reports what the job records and billing lines say, not what runs on the server.

Can you use Nano Banana on Higgsfield? (tested 2026-10-26)

Yes: Higgsfield Nano Banana ran for us in two versions, “Nano Banana Pro” and “Nano Banana 2”, from the Higgsfield MCP tool on a Plus plan on 2026-10-26. Higgsfield’s pricing page also lists a plain “Nano Banana” row at 1 credit per image, which we did not run (checked 2026-10-20). Google’s own model is called “Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image)” and its page lists 1k, 2k and 4k output, with access through the Gemini app, Google AI Studio and the Gemini API (Google DeepMind model page, checked 2026-10-26). That page states no free limits.

Everything below, from Higgsfield Nano Banana Pro to the 4K run, is one test set, not a benchmark. We ran three jobs with the same prompt and the same reference image, one try each, and this set includes no other image model. A claim that one setting “beats” another from three images would be unsupported, so the page compares records: requested model, job label, charge and delivered pixels.

Nano Banana Pro vs Nano Banana 2 vs 4K: same prompt, our runs

The same 3:4 request produced an 896 × 1200 px file on both 1k runs and a 3584 × 4800 px file at 4k, and the job record named a different model than we requested on all three runs. All images below are AI-generated, of our fictional adult test character.

Read the label columns as records, nothing more. When we requested Nano Banana Pro, the job API returned nano_banana_2; when we requested Nano Banana 2, it returned nano_banana_flash; and the billing history named the models as we requested them. We do not know what is behind either name, and we draw no conclusion about which model produced a file. The nano_banana_2 label on Pro jobs is not new: it already appears on our pages from the 2026-10-21 tests, and the how we test page explains how we log it. Across both sessions, 19 of 19 Nano Banana Pro jobs came back with that label, 10 on 2026-10-21 and 9 on 2026-10-26.

AI-generated photo of a fictional adult woman at a cafe window table holding a coffee cup in both hands, street visible outside, 1k Nano Banana Pro run

Run H12a: requested Nano Banana Pro, 1k. Coffee cup in both hands, street outside the window.

AI-generated photo of the same fictional adult woman at a cafe window holding a cup up in both hands, 1k Nano Banana 2 run

Run H12b: requested Nano Banana 2, 1k. Same window scene, cup held up in both hands.

AI-generated 4k photo of the same fictional adult woman at the cafe window, hoop earring and tortoiseshell glasses visible

Run H12c: requested Nano Banana Pro, 4k. Same scene; the hoop earring and tortoiseshell frames are visible.

By eye, character consistency held in all three: same face shape, hair and glasses as the reference. That is our observation of three images, not a measurement. The 4k file adds pixels, not a different scene: it shows the earring and the frame texture more clearly than the 1k files do.

One more record from the same session: the catalog default for Nano Banana Pro is now 2k. We set 1k explicitly on every run, so if you open the model and press Generate without checking the setting, you get a size we did not price in this test.

What it costs: 1K vs 4K

The 4k run cost 2 times the 1k run in credits (4 vs 2) and delivered 16 times the pixels: 17,203,200 against 1,075,200, or 4 times per side (our calculation from the pixel dimensions). Every quote we read with get_cost before generating matched the charge afterward.

*Calculation: credits × $0.0392, the Plus annual rate ($47 for 1,200 credits, billed annually; US, excluding taxes, checked 2026-10-20). Monthly billing at $59 raises that rate by about 25%.

Higgsfield’s pricing page listed Nano Banana 2 at 2 credits per image when we checked it on 2026-10-20; our charge on 2026-10-26 was 1.5, the same as the quote shown before the run. Plan prices and what a credit buys are on our Higgsfield pricing guide. One account, one day: read the number on the Generate button before you confirm.

Paying for Higgsfield makes sense if you want Nano Banana next to other models under one credit balance, or 4k output at a known charge. For a single image, check Google’s own Gemini app first; its free limits are not verified as of 2026-10-26.

How to run it with a reference photo

A Higgsfield Nano Banana run takes four steps, and the prompt below is the one we ran. Use only a photo of an adult you have the right to use, and see the content policy for what we accept.

  1. Open the Higgsfield image generator and choose Nano Banana Pro or Nano Banana 2: Nano Banana on Higgsfield (commission link).
  2. Upload your reference photo. Our reference was the same file for all three runs, which is what makes the comparison fair; how we built it is in the test character page.
  3. Set the resolution and aspect ratio yourself. We chose 1k or 4k and 3:4. If you leave the default on Nano Banana Pro, expect 2k.
  4. Check the credit cost, paste the prompt, generate.

Tested prompt

The same text as in the recipe card above. Copy it from the card

To use it on yourself, change “the woman” to describe the person in your photo. That edit is not tested. The prompt names the framing (waist-up), the setting, the light and the photo style, and it points to the reference image instead of describing the face. That makes it image editing from a reference, not text-to-image from scratch. For other prompts, keep the same order: framing, setting, light, photo style. For text-to-image from a description, with a style preset instead of a reference photo, see our Higgsfield Soul test (2026-10-27).

Is it unlimited?

Not for Nano Banana Pro on the Plus plan: the Plus card showed “No unlimited” for it on 2026-10-20, and a 7-day unlimited window for Nano Banana 2. The Ultra card showed a 7-day window at 2K for both (pricing page, checked 2026-10-20). We paid credits on every run here, and the test ran through the MCP tool, where the vendor says generations “always deduct credits” (help center, checked 2026-10-26). We did not test the website Unlimited toggle, so unlimited Nano Banana is not verified by us.

Unlimited on Higgsfield is per model, per period, website only and in the standard queue. The conditions, with the vendor’s wording, are in the unlimited section of the pricing page. For what is free without a plan, see what is free on Higgsfield.

Where identity drifted in our runs

Our logs flag identity drift on 3 of 19 Nano Banana Pro jobs (about 16%), and on none of the three H12 runs. The 19 are the 10 jobs of 2026-10-21 and the 9 of 2026-10-26 on the same fictional adult reference; the flags are ours, by eye, from each run’s log line.

  • 2026-10-21, polaroid-style run: hair rendered darker and straighter than the reference.
  • 2026-10-26, low-light portrait: the face read narrower and a little older, hair darker.
  • 2026-10-26, New Year polaroid: eyes squeezed by the laugh, hair browner at the roots, face narrower.

Two of the three flagged jobs are polaroids and the third has low light. That is what the three have in common, not a rule. The images from those runs stay on their own pages, for example the AI polaroid page.

Limits of this count: one reference face, one account, one day each, one try per prompt, a by-eye judgment, and a small n. Four of the 19 jobs are styled (an anime look and three caricatures), where a likeness check is looser.
